Third-party services include direct buyers and comparison sites that refer you to another buyer. Their convenience is real, but the company displayed at the start of the journey may not be the company that receives the phone and owes the payment.
Identify the transaction chain
- Who operates the comparison or quote page?
- Who is the named buyer in the final order?
- Where is the phone sent?
- Who decides the inspected condition?
- Who pays you and handles complaints?
Compare more than the quoted amount

Check complaints and return handling
Before choosing a buyer, read recent complaints for recurring operational issues such as unexplained downgrades, delayed returns or difficulty identifying the contracting company. Reviews are not proof by themselves, but patterns can identify questions to ask. Check whether a complaint can be made in writing and whether the terms name an alternative dispute process.
If the buyer returns the device after you reject a revised offer, inspect the parcel immediately and compare the IMEI and condition with your dispatch record.
Document before sending
Save the quote and terms, remove accounts, erase the device, record the IMEI and condition, photograph packing and use tracking. Do not include accessories unless requested.
Be cautious with permanent rankings
A buyer that is best for one model today may be poor for another tomorrow. Compare current offers for the exact device rather than relying on a generic “best recycler” list.

Panel buyers, payment methods and return terms can change. Confirm the final contracting buyer and read its current terms immediately before sending a device.
