Five checks before committing
- Who legally buys or receives the device?
- Is the value cash, credit, discount or finance reduction?
- Is the quote guaranteed or provisional?
- What happens if inspection changes the condition?
- Can you reject the revision and get the phone back without cost?
Keep the new purchase separate
Choose the new phone, tariff and finance on their own total cost. Then apply the trade-in. A large bonus does not compensate for an unsuitable or more expensive contract.
Prepare only after saving the terms
Record the quote and terms, then remove accounts, erase and document the phone. Follow the programme’s instructions about cases, cables, SIMs and packaging; unsolicited accessories may not be returned.
