Avoiding Scams and Problems
Most phone sales are ordinary transactions. The safest approach is not to assume every buyer is dishonest, but to use a process that makes common scams difficult and genuine problems easier to resolve.

Use fixed transaction rules
- Do not move off-platform merely because a buyer asks.
- Do not send the phone on the strength of an email or screenshot.
- Do not pay a fee to “upgrade” an account or release incoming funds.
- Do not accept an overpayment and return the difference.
- Do not send to an address that conflicts with the protected order.
- Keep the listing, messages, condition record, payment and delivery evidence.
Separate fraud from a genuine dispute
A real buyer may report a real fault. Ask for a clear description and evidence before deciding. Do not immediately accuse the buyer, issue a partial refund or agree to a return outside the platform process. Equally, do not use “private sale” as an excuse for a description you know was false.
