Do not confuse monthly with recurring
A battery replacement or new case is not monthly, but it still belongs in the ownership period. Convert irregular spending into an annual or whole-period estimate when comparing options.
Review at contract milestones
Check the bill after promotional discounts end, when an announced price rise takes effect and at the end of the minimum term. Continuing without review can turn a reasonable deal into an avoidable long-term cost.
