Most phones need fewer accessories than retail bundles suggest. Buy an item only when it solves a real safety, protection, charging or accessibility requirement.

Check the box and your drawer first
Do not buy a new adaptor because one is absent from the box if you already own a compatible safe unit. Confirm connector, charging protocol and power rather than relying on brand alone.
Protection should match replacement risk
A rugged case can be sensible for outdoor work and excessive for a careful desk user. A screen protector can reduce scratch anxiety but cannot guarantee protection from a severe impact.
Avoid speculative accessories
Buy specialist lenses, wireless pads, gaming controllers or subscription trackers only after the need appears. Unused add-ons create cost and electronic waste.
Buy in stages
Before delivery, buy only what is necessary to charge and protect the phone in its first days. After using it, add items that solve observed problems. This avoids buying a mount, power bank or premium stand for a routine that never develops.
Accessibility is not an optional extra
For some users, a grip, lanyard, hearing-compatible audio product, stand or tactile control is part of making the phone usable. Treat these as functional requirements, not lifestyle accessories.
