A higher repair price matters more where the phone is likely to be kept for years, used without insurance or carried in a high-risk environment. Also check whether a repair preserves biometric functions, parts messages and water-resistance claims.
Account for family sharing
Shared cloud storage, paid apps, watches and parental controls can make one platform more convenient. Count the actual cost of replacing or abandoning these items, not the retail value of everything ever bought.
